Replace Potatoes With This Mashed Cauliflower Keto Recipe

Mashed cauliflower keto option is a tasty, easy to make recipe and the perfect substitute for mashed potatoes. It is also easy to process in the body and does not contain carbs – which is extremely important for keto diet.

It is great when it is hot and gets even better when it gets cold and the ingredients mix together. According to experts, we can eat our favorite types of meat and replace the usual ingredients such as rice or potatoes with other healthier versions of vegetables. In this case, our cauliflower mashed potatoes keto recipe could easily be combined with your favorite dishes and still be tasty just like the high carb – mashed potatoes. 

You won’t even know the difference. You can buy it raw from the store or keep it frozen in the refrigerator. We recommend to use it raw whenever you have a chance.  

The Recipe


  • 1 large head of cauliflower 
  • 100 gr of butter
  • 1 tbsp of salt
  • 1 – 2 cloves of garlic
  • Spices as desired (Black pepper, dried mixed veggies…)


To prepare the keto cauliflower mashed potatoes you need to do the following:

  1. Make sure to tear the flowers of the cauliflower, wash it carefully and put it in a bowl.
  2. Put the bowl on a stove and cook for about 40 minutes or so. It should soften a lot, but make sure that it does not get overcooked. Because if you cook it too much, it will lose its taste.
  3. Once the cauliflower gets cooked (it should be very soft) remove the water and add the melted butter to room temperature and mix it well using a stick mixer.
  4. After a few minutes of mixing, add the garlic and other spices that you want, and then mix with a regular mixer until all the ingredients blend together. 

Serving idea:

You can serve or eat this wonderful recipe with any type of meat, it just goes with everything.

If you haven’t removed dairy products from your list, you can also add a spoon of cream, and it will be even more delicious, but if you are on a keto diet make sure to drop the carbohydrates to a minimum.

Most of the mashed cauliflower recipes mostly contain dairy products which are not really recommended for people on a keto diet. This is definitely a low carb a recipe that will still allow you to get that texture of mashed potatoes and enjoy your meal.

Note that the spices do not contribute to the texture of the mashed cauliflowers, but they do give a fabulous taste and are absolutely needed. Just make sure not to exaggerate with them.
