When I prepared mine, I used 80/20 ground beef, but you can choose to use turkey for fewer fat or calories. I made two batches, cut in half for one.


Ingredients (for a single batch):


  • Two lbs. of ground turkey or beef (depending on your choice of meat)
  • Four green onion
  • Two bags of Dole Classic Cole Slaw Mix
  • Three teaspoons of minced garlic (I made use of real garlic and chop up just some slices, adjust to taste)
  • Three teaspoons of soy sauce (I made use of light soy sauce for good taste, you may not necessarily use the same as mine)
  • Two teaspoons of sesame oil
  • Two teaspoons of ground ginger
  • Two teaspoons of crushed red pepper flake (optional)
  • Optional: you may want to add a serving packet of Splenda. Some people use it but I didn't


Instruction:


  1. Just as you would usually do, put ground hamburger in a pan
  2. In another pan put soy sauce, sesame oil, cut up garlic and cut up green onion together and fry until tender. 
  3. After that, add the crushed red pepper, ground ginger and cabbage (ColeSlaw Mix) and cook until almost tender. I prefer it when it's still slightly crunchy rather than being super soft. 
  4. Once it is done, drain off excess fat from the hamburger and add it to the pan that contains the other ingredients and stir well. You can add more soy sauce for additional flavor but not too much. It will be awesome.


It is an excellent cheap keto meal plan that contains low carb, moderate protein and moderate fat. The nutritional content is dependent on the type of meat source and the quantity of food you use.  This recipe above can be served 10 times and it’s super nice for dinner.


It contains 116.6 calories per serving, 8.4g of protein per serving, 0.9g fiber per serving, 2.85g of carbs per serving, and 13.2g fat per serving.

Lentil and Sausage Stew

If you are looking for cheap keto recipe to prepare for your family, the lentil and sausage stew is one to try out. It is easy and fast to prepare, stocked with healthy vegetables that help to manage your weight. It is rarely possible for anyone to resist the flavor that emanates from this meal.


The preparation time for this example is about 15 minutes while the cooking time is one hour. Therefore the total time taken to get this on the table is one hour fifteen minutes.


Ingredients:

 

  • ½ lb. of Italian sausage
  • One medium onion 
  • Four stalks of celery (half bunch)
  • Three medium carrots
  • Two cups of brown lentils
  • Two cloves of garlic
  • Six cups of chicken broth
  • One teaspoon of oregano 
  • ½ teaspoon of cayenne
  • One teaspoon of cumin 
  • One teaspoon of smoked paprika 
  • ten Oz of frozen spinach


Instructions:

 

  1. Put the sausage in a pot and use medium heat to brown it. Break it up into small pieces as it cooks.
  2. While cooking the sausage, get your vegetable ready: slice the celery, wash, peel and slice the carrot, mince the garlic and dice the onion. As soon as the sauce is done, add the veggies and keep sautéing until the onion becomes soft and translucent (this should take about five minutes). 
  3. Measure your lentils and check through it to be sure that there is no stone. Add them inside the pot along with the cumin, cayenne, oregano, chicken broth, and smoked paprika.
  4. Cover the pot with a lid, set the heat to medium-high temperature, and allow it to boil up. Once it gets to a boil, lower the heat and allow to simmer for about thirty minutes or till the lentils become tender. If it's too dry, you can add more water.
  5. Introduce the frozen spinach and allow to cook for an additional 15 minutes. Serve with a slice of crusty bread and enjoy your meal!


Note: I used Better Than Bouillon to prepare my broth.

Smoky Tomato Soup

This is delicious and affordable keto recipe that has amazing flavor. It is fast and easy to prepare. Check the recipes below.


Preparation time is ten minutes while cooking time is 20 minutes. So the total time taken to make this meal is just 30 minutes.


Ingredients:

 

  • Two tablespoons of olive oil
  • Two cloves of garlic
  • One small yellow onion
  • ½ tablespoon of smoked paprika
  • Two tablespoons of tomato paste
  • Two teaspoons of brown sugar
  • One cup of vegetable broth
  • ½ teaspoon of cumin
  • Two to fifteen Oz cans of roasted diced tomatoes
  • Freshly cracked pepper to taste


Instructions:


  1. Finely mince the garlic and dice the onion. Put them in a pot that contains the olive oil and cook them with an average heat till the onions become soft and translucent.
  2. Add the smoked paprika, cumin, and tomato paste to the pot. Keep stirring and cooking for about 2 minutes to caramelize the tomatoes paste and toast the spices.
  3. Introduce the roasted tomatoes, brown sugar, some cracked pepper and vegetable broth. Stir to mix well and heat for about ten minutes. Taste and add any seasoning if need be (you may need to add salt depending on the type of broth used).
  4. Serve and enjoy!
