Diarrhea on Keto - How To Successfully Deal With It

The Keto Diarrhea is a normal state during this process that many people experience. When we stop eating carbs and change our diet, the digestive tract needs some time to get used to these changes. As a result of that many people experience constipation or diarrhea. But there are methods that you can apply that will help you normalize the digestive tract and stop diarrhea.  

Make sure to follow some of these rules

Increase the water intake

Ask yourself the question: Am I drinking enough water throughout the day? When you are on a low carb diet, it is very important to drink enough water because your body will need it. Start doing that right away. You will only need a few days to get used to this new habit.

Do not skip fats intake

If you rely solely on protein intake, you will get diarrhea on keto very frequently. The carbs must be replaced with fats for the body to function normally. 

Do not exaggerate with supplements

Supplements are required when you are on any type of food regime or diet since there are types of food that you are not allowed to eat. This leads to lack of certain nutrients. Include more fiber in your food

You can include broccoli, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers… Do not limit yourself to only one or two types of veggies. There are so many options to choose from.  Make the right ones. 

Avoid stress

What you need to do is avoid stress as much as possible in order not to make the situation worse. Try to be calm and relax yourself whenever you get a chance. Listen to nice music for relaxation, meditate, exercise and do not forget to get enough sleep.
