4 Enjoyable Keto Friendly Syrup Recipes

For people who are on a keto diet, following and sticking to it can be sometimes difficult and overwhelming especially if you have sweet tooth cravings. But there is good news for you because the keto syrup got your back.

Artificial sweeteners are not good for you because they affect your weight loss process. To make your keto diet balanced, I will be revealing to you how you can make your own keto friendly syrup from the comfort of your home.

The keto syrup recipe is simple to make at home and you can get the ingredients in most stores.

Enjoy your keto diet with one of these sweetenings listed below! I believe you will never ignore making these recipes once you have a taste of them.

Sugar-Free Low Carb Keto Friendly Maple Syrup

This syrup is gotten from maple extract and it’s sugar-free, low in calories and carbs, making it a perfect option for your keto diet. It takes just about ten minutes to get it ready.

In the past, I have tried different sugar-free syrups, and to be sincere, it was a disappointment for me. The majority are sweetened with either sucralose or aspartame, which is a no-no if you truly want to stay away from artificial sweeteners.

I was glad I came across this sugar-free maple syrup I’m about to show you now. Only four ingredients are required to make this simple keto syrup.

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of powdered erythritol
  • 1 ½  tablespoon of maple extract
  • ½ teaspoon of Xanthan gum

  1. In a saucepan (small pan preferably), whisk together the maple extract, erythritol and water.
  2. Allow the mixture to boil gently. Simmer for about five minutes, stirring at intervals until the erythritol melts.
  3. Pour the liquid into a blender. Get your xanthan gum and sprinkle half of it on top (light and even sprinkling, don't dump). Puree immediately till all lumps disappear. Repeat the same process using the remaining xanthan gum.
  4. Leave the syrup for some minutes to allow it to thicken more. If it is still not as thick as you want, add a few xanthan gums, but adding should be done bit by bit (1/16 tsp. per time, sprinkle lightly and puree again).

Keto Chocolate Syrup

There is rarely any other keto friendly syrups that are better than chocolate syrups. They taste great and satisfy your sweet tooth cravings. The good thing about keto chocolate syrup is that you can make it suit your keto lifestyle.

To make this amazing recipe, there are just two ingredients that are required. If you are on a keto diet and a big fan of chocolate I recommend this great option to you. It is low in carb which makes it great for weight management. Check out the recipes and simple instructions below.

  • 3 oz. of your choicest chocolate (chips or bar)
  • A half cup of heavy cream

  1. Get a saucepan (small one preferably) and start heating heavy cream, but allow to boil.
  2. Get chocolate of your choice and put in a glass or metal bowl (that won’t melt).
  3. When the heavy cream is heated, pour on chocolate and allow to set for three minutes it chocolate melts.
  4. Whisk together till it combines. Store seal in a container (preferably a glass container) for up to 2 weeks.
  5. Bring out from where you stored it and enjoy!

Low Carb Keto Caramel

This is another great keto syrup for pancakes. Below is the recipe.

  • 4 tablespoon of unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoon of heavy cream
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 teaspoon of erythritol

  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and cook till it turns golden brown. The essence of this is to give caramel deeper flavor.
  2. Pour the heavy cream, stir continuously until combined. Reduce the heat and simmer for one minute.
  3. Add in your preferred sweetener (I used erythritol). Allow it (the sweetener) to dissolve for one minute. Add a pinch of salt to it. If you want it to be more of a salted syrup, add more salt.
  4. Allow it to cook till it starts getting stickier and thicker.
  5. If you notice the cream and butter separating, you can get a Nutribullet and pour the mixture, blend till they combine.
  6. Get a glass container and pour the caramel into it, and keep stirring as it cools and thickens. This is to prevent the sauce from being 2 layered.
  7. To enjoy the syrup, pour it over your dessert. You can also put it in the fridge for later use. But you will have to warm it so that it becomes pourable whenever you want to use it.

Blueberry Sugar-Free Syrup

The last option on the list but certainly not the less tasty is the sugar-free blueberry recipe. It is a simple and easy to make low carb syrup is nice when used on top of cheesecake, pancakes, waffles, or ice cream. You can use the recipe with any berry of your choice.

Preparation time is 5 minutes while cooking time is 15 minutes, making the total time of making it 20 minutes. The recipe I’m given below can serve 10 people and contains 23 kcal calories.

  • 2 ½ cups of blueberries (frozen or fresh)
  • ½ cup of water
  • ½ teaspoon of stevia concentrated powder
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice
